Today is all about creating your big quiz topic, the main hook for your quiz.
Table of Contents
ToggleThis is a big one because your quiz should essentially be answering one big question. A question you know your audience has and the reason your business exists in the first place.
So ask yourself, what’s your business superpower? This is a great place to start when thinking about the topic of your quiz.
You should be able to reverse engineer your superpower and turn it into a question your audience has and wants answered.
If you’re a productivity coach, then maybe the question is ‘How do I get more done in the time I have available?’.
If you’re an interior designer, the question might be ‘How do I figure out my personal style?’.
If you help people get published, then the big question might be ‘How do I get published and in front of my audience?’
Or if you help parents to connect deeper with their children then your question is going to be something like ‘How can I build a deeper relationship with my kids?’
It really depends on your audience as to the big question your quiz answers, and understanding your ideal client’s pain points and challenges.
How Do You Decide What Question You Want to Answer?
It’s all about understanding your ideal client’s pain points and challenges. And the easiest way to identify what those are is to do some good old fashioned detective work.
It’s time for some research. Try taking a look at the questions you get asked on a regular basis. Audit your FAQS, do a mine of your Inbox and look for common questions your clients are always asking you.
If you have a Facebook Group ask your group about their biggest struggle, do a poll on Instagram. Essentially though your audience should give you the answer here.
For your quiz title you need to think in terms of what’s going to make people sit up and take notice.
What’s going to make them want to click and take the quiz.
There needs to be a certain amount of curiosity and intrigue here.
Now there are certain tried and tested buzz words that just work when it comes to quizzes.
Anything with words like secret or hidden in the title work well because we feel that we’re about to reveal something exciting we didn’t know before.
And not every quiz is going to come at it from a positive angle.
In some cases, we’ll be trying to identify some kind of weakness. Here we’ll use words in the title like Archetype, Saboteur, Blindspot and Blocker because they’re catchy and do that job very well.
